What is the power of being active?

  • Lower risks or control many health conditions
  • Helps get to/maintain healthy weight
  • Build healthy bones, muscles, joints
  • Lower stress

Find activities that you enjoy. A run gives you a workout, but so can gardening, a brisk walk or playing with your dog or kids.

Just 30 minutes of moderate activity on most days can reduce risks for many diseases. Enlist your friends and family. Walk at lunch or after dinner. Start a local challenge or form a training group for a 5k.
