What is the power of being active?

- Helps get to/maintain healthy weight
- Build healthy bones, muscles, joints
- Lower stress
Find activities that you enjoy. A run gives you a workout, but so can gardening, a brisk walk or playing with your dog or kids.
Just 30 minutes of moderate activity on most days can reduce risks for many diseases. Enlist your friends and family. Walk at lunch or after dinner. Start a local challenge or form a training group for a 5k.

Although YMCAs are located across the country, they are a locally run, nonprofit organization. Each community has its own business model that dictates pricing and corporate discounts.Some communities offer corporate discounts, some offer discounts with an annual corporate gift and others do not offer corporate discounts at all but instead discount rates based on an individual's need.
