Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – How can it help you?

Our EAP is a workplace program to help Norfolk Southern (NS) with productivity issues of employees. We confidentially help "employee clients" in identifying and resolving personal concerns, including mental health, marital, family, financial, alcohol, drug, legal, emotional, stress, or other personal issues that may affect job performance. The EAP team consists of NS employees who have specialized training and are Certified Employee Assistance Professionals. Why type of services/assistance can we provide?

  • Wellness activities and education
  • Connections to mental health providers  
  • Employee education about our drug and alcohol free workplace
  • Assessment and support for employees and their family members who suffer from substance use disorders
  • Supervisor training on Signs and Symptoms of drug and alcohol
  • Support for transportation employees involved in critical incidents
  • CPR training
