Service Contracts
The Service Contracts group works with various departments to solicit bids for work not performed by company forces and write the subsequent contracts. All Services or leases with a value of more than $25,000 must be covered by a service contract negotiated by Material management.
Contractor Selection Requirements
Contractors are selected based on proposed service, lowest total life cycle cost, adherence to specifications and bid submission instructions, and ability.The successful Contractor will have submitted pricing that:
- Is mathematically accurate
- Is consistent between the bid form and "summary of project"
- Provides bonding at a reasonable percentage of potential contract expenses
Dunn & Bradstreet Credit Scoring Report Information is reviewed for all finalists.
The chosen contractor will have submitted a proposal that
- Conforms to issued instructions and specifications,
- Arrives by the stated submission date and time, and
- Is validated with a signature accepting Proposa's terms.
A proposal can be rejected when it contains unsolicited contingencies, qualifications, or exceptions. Potential contractors should seek answers to any questions prior to bid submission.
The contract manager may request supplemental information for review. Generally, the requested information seeks three similarly scoped projects which were successfully completed by the contractor in the past two years.
