Scenes from Norfolk Southern’s Toys for Tots Express

Norfolk Southern commemorated the 60th anniversary of the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program on Nov. 2 with a special train from Bluefield, W.Va., to Tazewell, Va. The train delivered toys to local children and carried Marines, local supporters and NS employees. Daytime talk show host Dr. Phil and his wife Robin, national spokespeople for Toys for Tots, were aboard. Footage from their trip will air on Dr. Phil’s show in December. As part of the anniversary commemoration, Norfolk Southern made a financial contribution to the Wade Center, a Bluefield organization that helps disadvantaged children and is supported by a number of Pocahontas Division railroaders.
