He and other employees who have overcome alcohol or drug problems say they would not be working for NS today if others had not stepped in to help. That's a message NS is highlighting in an initiative to improve safety and service and promote healthier lifestyles.

In the studio with The Lawmen
Members of the Lawmen, Norfolk Southern's corporate band, were in an Asheville, N.C., studio in September to record their new CD "Winning Streak." During the sessions, they worked through changes in chords or tempo, tried out different approaches, and added their own touches as the songs took shape, showcasing a more rock-infused, Top 40 country sound - like Merle Haggard meets Guns N' Roses.
