Prefer: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems candidates with at least a 2.8/4.0 GPA overall; 3.0/4.0 in major. No relocation, travel or living expenses are provided. Salary for this full-time position depends on class level at the time of employment. Six-month rotations are preferred.  

All co-ops who are active employees on or after January 1, 2005, will be paid according to the following:

Location: 110 Franklin Rd., SE, Roanoke, VA and 1200 Peachtree Street, NW, Atlanta, GA
Work Period: Spring and Summer OR Summer and Fall
Hours: Monday through Friday; generally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Description: Student will provide support to the Managers in the Information Systems Planning and Development areas.  The student will assist managers and their teams by preparing dataflow diagrams and other documentation that describes how NS systems currently function.  The student will assist project managers by helping to maintain project documentation including project plans, status reports, and issues lists;  The student will also assist by performing data entry, coding, and producing spreadsheets.

 Skills: Student must show initiative and be able to work independently.  The student must be flexible; must be able to deal with job demands that will change as department's priorities change.  The student must also be open to working with new technologies, and have the ability to learn new software processes.   Student must be experienced in the use of PC's as well as software packages such as Microsoft Windows and Office.  Proficiency in MSWord, Excel, or Access is a definite plus.  Students must also demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. Exposure to JCL and VISIO is a plus.
