Education: Enrolled in Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or Management Science from an accredited university. Master or Ph.D. students in the related areas are preferred. The candidate must be enrolled during the semester in which he/she is employed. Undergraduates must have attained Junior or Senior status to be considered for position.
Experience: Prefer candidates with practical project management experience. Knowledge of SQL, relational database, Windows Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Visio, SDLC, and a computer language (such as C or Visual Basic) would be helpful.
Requirements: Strong analytical skills. Aptitude for problem solving. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good planning and organizing skills. Basic knowledge of software development.
Responsibilities: Intern will assist Operations Research group to achieve its mission to support key internal customers, such as Transportation, Marketing, Strategic Planning, and Financial Planning. Intern will assist OR group with managing on-going projects, complying with IT standards in SDLC (e.g. Project Initiation, Analysis & Design Stage End Reports; Change Management, Issues, Toll Gate Reviews, & etc.) and SOX controls, reporting project status to PMO, tracking project budget and coordinating resource allocation within the group.
