Majors Preferred: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems candidates with at least a 2.8/4.0 GPA overall; 3.0/4.0 in major. No relocation, travel or living expenses are provided. Salary for this full-time position depends on class level at the time of employment. One-year placement is preferred for this role.
Duties & Responsibilities Co-ops will assist in the development of documents to support the Training & Employee Development area. Regular tasks will include: Maintaining & developing MS Access database applications (using tables, reports and forms; queries and macros); Researching & documenting training vendors/classes; Scheduling training with vendors and notifying students; Keeping all Training Databases updated (with accurate classes/costs/dates, and student history); Administration of Web Based Training; Generating reports that show hiring and retention statistics for all of IT; Reporting for statistical measurements and analysis of trainee and coop programs; Updating New Hire Orientation Manuals for all New Hires; Maintaining a Skills and Interest database (capturing individual skills, training desires, and career development plans) utilizing Visual Basic, Macros, queries, forms, etc.; Maintenance of Performance Management Guidelines and Review Forms.Skills: Students must be experienced in the use of PC's (Microsoft Windows and Office) and programming disciplines [proficiency in MS Access is required; experienced with MS Word, Excel is also necessary]. Visual Basic knowledge is desired. Must be professional, personable and demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills; Must be self-disciplined in the work environment, attentive to details, and committed to the delivery of quality products and services.
