Work Period: Spring and Summer or Summer and Fall (NO SUMMER ONLY POSITIONS)
Hours: Monday through Friday; generally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Reports To: Manager IT Departmental Applications

Majors Preferred: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems candidates with at least a 2.8/4.0 GPA overall; 3.0/4.0 in major. No relocation, travel or living expenses are provided. Salary for this full-time position depends on class level at the time of employment. Semester rotations are preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities: Co-ops will assist in the development of departmental web applications. These are mostly data centric and will involve some Microsoft SQL Server database design. Students will participate as a member of a development team, though some assignments may require individually focused efforts. Screen Design, cleanup, testing and documentation are all required to produce professional looking, easy to use applications. Candidate should be able to create original graphic web designs.

Skills: Students must be experienced in the use of PC's (Microsoft Windows and Office) and programming disciplines. Proficiency in .net, VBScript or JavaScript is required, as well as experience with MS Word, Excel. Familiarity with HTML, FrontPage or DreamWeaver is highly desirable. Some knowledge of MS Access or SQL is necessary. Must be personable and demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills. Must be reliable, self-disciplined and a self-starter. Attention to details, and commitment to quality products and services is a must.
