Location: 125 Spring St., SW, Atlanta, GA
Work Period: Spring and Summer or Summer and Fall (NO SUMMER ONLY POSITIONS)
Hours: Monday through Friday; generally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Reports To: Manager, Computer Center

Majors Preferred: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems candidates with at least a 2.8/4.0 GPA overall; 3.0/4.0 in major. No relocation, travel or living expenses are provided. Salary for this full-time position depends on class level at the time of employment. Six-month rotations are preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with computer room maintenance.
  2. Participate in data center walk-throughs.
  3. Determine data center equipment ownership.
  4. Assist with administration of data center access card software.
  5. Maintain signage within the data center.
  6. Coordinate incoming equipment shipments with involved parties.
  7. Produce various reports for management.
  8. Use in-house tools to maintain graphical layouts of various data center floors. Help design, build, and maintain a computer room inventory database.
  9. Help to develop new and maintain current documentation from various sources, making that documentation available via HTML or other web-based platforms.
  10. Updating and maintenance of documents to get them up to date and effectively organized.
  11. Assist with maintenance of group owned internal websites.

Skills: Student must be experienced in the use of Microsoft Windows and MS Office Suite; must be process oriented and must work well with others; should demonstrate well developed verbal and written communication skills; must have basic Web/HTML knowledge.
