Prefer: Students seeking degrees in engineering, sciences, computing or business disciplines with at least a 3.0 GPA overall and a 3.0 GPA in major. No travel, relocation, or living allowance is provided. Salary for this full-time position depends on class level at the time of employment. Students should be eligible to work a rotation of three work semesters.

Duties: Student will work with the General Managers office to improve railroad operations by conducting research and reviews of vital operations areas that include: daily train performance, customer service failure, train delays and train run times. Additionally, the student will assist with information gathering and the monitoring of expenses and employees. As co-op student progresses, the co-op will be required to handle projects from start to finish.
Skills: Student must be highly PC-literate and have extensive experience in MS Excel. Knowledge of MS Visual Basic, SQL, MS Frontpage, statistical analysis and design of experiments is desirable, as well as a programming background with experience in MS Access.
