Communications and Signals – IT Support

Prefer: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering candidates with at least a 2.8/4.0 GPA overall; 3.0/4.0 in major. No relocation, travel or living expenses are provided. Salary for this full-time position depends on class level at the time of employment.

All co-ops who are active employees on or after January 1, 2005, will be paid according to the following:

Location: 99 Spring Street, SW – Atlanta, GA
Work Period: Spring, Summer, Fall
Hours: Monday through Friday; generally 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Reports To: Communication Engineers

Description: Student will assist in the day to day engineering tasks including, tracking, correcting and documenting Leased Telephone Circuit charges; drafting and revising Data Circuit diagrams; creating and modifying spreadsheet and databases to Communications' facilities networking equipment; and handling special projects related to equipment evaluation, installation and specifications development.

Skills: Candidate should possess strong computer skills, preferably versed in PC based CAD programs, database and spreadsheet applications used in Windows 3.1 & Windows95 environments. The student should also possess good verbal and written communications skills, as well as problem resolution skills.
