William H. Johnson
General Attorney
Norfolk

My father was too young for World War I and too old for World War II, but he had four sons all of whom served in the military and three who saw combat duty in three separate wars. My oldest brother saw combat in Korea as an Army 2nd Lt. in the infantry. My next brother served in the Navy. My third brother is a decorated (two Bronze Stars and a purple heart) veteran of two combat tours of duty in the Vietnam war as a platoon leader. I served in DaNang and aboard the aircraft carrier, USS America, conducting and analyzing photographic intelligence during the Viet Nam war.
