Directions: From I-16 take Chatham Pkwy east several miles ending at Hwy 80. Stay in the right lane and proceed across the 4 lanes of Hwy 80 which will become Heidt St. Heidt ends at the entrance of NS Dillard Yard. When you come into the yard you will bear left and go exactly one mile (9 speed bumps). The Intermodal terminal is on the right immediately after you pass the NS Tower Building.
From I-95 take Hwy 80 East approximately 6 miles staying in the left. You will be in front of Low Country Collision. Turn left on to Heidt St. (this is the intersection where Chatham Pkwy., Hwy 80 and Heidt St. all intersect). Go two blocks and you will enter Norfolk Southern Yard. Follow this road (the NS private road is Charlie Gay Dr.) and proceed exactly one mile (9 speed bumps) and pass the NS Tower. The Intermodal Yard is immediately right.
From the Georgia Port area off Hwy 25 or Hwy 21 take 307/Dean Forest Rd West to Hwy 80. Turn left at traffic light. Proceed on Hwy 80 approximately 2 miles and stay in the left lane. You will be directly in front of Low Country Collision. Turn left on to Heidt St. and proceed two blocks. Heidt St. ends at the entrance of NS Dillard Yard. Follow this road exactly one mile (9 speed bumps) and the NS Intermodal Yard is on the right immediately after you pass the NS Tower building.
*Note: If you have been giving directions to the NS Yard via Big Hill Road you can not enter the yard from this direction. It is a residential road with weight restrictions. Your container/trailer will not clear the railroad tracks with out doing damage to your equipment.
