Refrigerated Trailers between Los Angeles and AtlantaBeginning July 13, 2009, Norfolk Southern and Union Pacific Railroad are inaugurating a new service specifically designed for refrigerated trailer shippers between Atlanta and Los Angeles both eastbound and westbound. Refrigerated trailers on this train will be available for servicing during a scheduled stop in El Paso, TX in both directions as follows (all times local):
Rates for refrigerated trailers between Atlanta and Los Angeles are available using the e*price function in accessNS. Customers will be able to arrange servicing of the refrigeration units through an approved vendor during the stop in El Paso, significantly reducing the risk of protective service failure during transit. (Please note that neither NS nor UP assumes liability for protective service under this program. Linehaul pricing does not include charges for servicing at El Paso.) For more information regarding this or any other Norfolk Southern Intermodal services, please contact your Norfolk Southern Market Manager. |
