NS Brings EMP to Toledo, OH

Norfolk Southern is pleased to announce that as of April 20, 2009, the EMP program has expanded to Toledo, OH. EMP rates and service are available between Toledo and selected Northeast points, plus interline service is also available between Toledo and a variety of locations on the Union Pacific Railroad and the Canadian Pacific Railway via Chicago. Rates for shipments originating at Toledo are shown in the attached NSPQ 9000 rate matrix. Pricing details are also available through the e*price function in accessNS.

NS will now provide local service between Toledo and Croxton, NJ, and from Toledo to Ayer, MA.

UP service locations include: Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; El Paso, TX; Houston, TX; Laredo, TX; Lathrop, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Antonio, TX; Seattle, WA (TacSim); and Tucson, AZ.

CP service locations include: Calgary, AB; Edmonton, AB; Regina, SK; Saskatoon, SK; Vancouver, BC; and Winnipeg, MB.

Routings are NS-CHGO-UP for UP destinations and NS-CHGO-CPRS for destinations on CP. UP and CP have published corresponding EMP interline rates into Toledo from their respective origins.

Interline Private Trailers at Cincinnati & Toledo, OH

NS and UP now offer interline service on private trailers between Cincinnati, OH and Toledo, OH on NS, and City of Industry, CA; Dallas, TX; El Paso, TX; Houston, TX; Laredo, TX; Lathrop, CA; Salt Lake City, UT; San Antonio, TX; and Sparks, NV on UP, all via Chicago.
