3. Fill out a Norfolk Southern Credit Application and the NS 14 Day Draft Plan. Fax both completed forms to 757-823-5753.

4. Fill out the NS Intermodal Transportation Contract and fax to 757-823-5753.

5. Contact the UIIA at (301) 982-3414 or (877) 438-8442 and request to be set up to do business in your private equipment or in our rail equipment at NS facilities under the UIIA (Uniform Intermodal Interchange Agreement).

If you are interested in gaining access to Norfolk Southern’s Rail Owned Containers (EMP), you must also complete a Trailer Interchange Agreement (TIA) Credit Application. Once complete, sign and fax to 301-982-3414.

You must also fill out the necessary paper work with REZ 1, the entity that manages, bills, and collects for charges associated with the use of rail owned containers.
