Winter Storm Gail is currently moving east and approaching the Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions. The storm is expected to bring heavy snow, sleet, rain, coastal flooding, and strong winds across the regions beginning today, December 16th into Thursday, December 17th. Due to the expected weather conditions, our terminals operating in the Northeast, as well as NY/NJ port facilities, are of particular concern.
As mentioned in customer advisory published on December 14th, in anticipation of the storm’s impact, the ingates are currently closed to all local and interline shipments in the following lanes:
- Chicago 63rd <> Croxton
- Chicago 63rd <> Rutherford
While all of our Intermodal terminals continue to operate under normal hours, terminal closures may occur if deemed necessary. Gate closures in addition to those listed above may also be announced if required for operational need.
Customers are strongly advised to review local forecasts and Department of Transportation information for updates regarding local road conditions in the impacted areas.
