Repairs continue following this morning’s derailment near Birmingham, AL and we currently estimate that train service will be restored on Saturday, July 7th. We are actively working to divert impacted trains; however, customers should expect transit and availability delays of at least 24 hours on shipments moving in the following lanes:
- NS Points <> Dallas/Mexico (via Meridian)
- NS Points <> SoCal/NorCal (via Shreveport)
- Southeast Points <> New Orleans
- Southeast/Northeast Points <> McCalla
Customers impacted by the derailment have been notified. We will provide updates as information become available.
