REMINDER: Louisville Terminal Change Announcement

Norfolk Southern continually strives to improve our intermodal product. As a part of this process, Norfolk Southern regularly evaluates and in some cases, alters service schedules and lanes.

This newsletter is to remind you of upcoming changes impacting containers to and from Louisville.  These changes are designed to support terminal balance, railcar utilization, and effective operations  at our Louisville terminals.  There are no changes to schedules or container availability, however Appliance Park is a wheeled facility.

Effective Monday, November 13, 2017:

Charleston to Louisville

  • COFC traffic will terminate at Appliance Park instead of Louisville (Buechel) via trains 237-224.

Louisville to Charleston

  • COFC traffic will originate at Appliance Park instead of Louisville (Buechel)  via trains 223-238.

Garden City to Louisville

  • COFC traffic will terminate at Appliance Park instead of Louisville (Buechel) via train 231-224.

Louisville to Garden City

  • COFC traffic will originate from Appliance Park instead of Louisville (Buechel) via train 223-232.

Jacksonville to Louisville

  • COFC traffic will terminate at Appliance Park instead of Louisville (Buechel) via train 210-224.

Louisville to Jacksonville

  • COFC traffic will originate from Appliance Park instead of Louisville (Buechel) via train 223-291.
