Changes to Tier 1 and Tier 2 Facilities for Domestic Equipment Free Time

In an effort to better service our customers and increase efficiency, effective Monday, December 7, 2020, New Jersey’s Croxton and Erail facilities will be added to the list of intermodal facilities categorized as Tier 1 while Cincinnati and Kansas City will be categorized as Tier 2 for domestic equipment.

Domestic shipments grounding at Tier 1 facilities receive a free-time allowance of Day of Notification plus one free day.  Domestic shipments grounding at Tier 2 facilities will receive a free-time allowance of Day of Notification plus two free days.
