Please be advised that efforts began today to upgrade the Automated Gate System at our Austell, GA Intermodal facility. As part of this effort, technology upgrades are being implemented in both the inbound and outbound portals. During the upgrades some inbound and outbound lanes will temporarily close which may result in longer than normal queue times entering and exiting the facility. ExpressNSTM Only lanes may also temporarily change to standard lanes during this period. To help minimize queue time delays we encourage drivers to download and utilize the ExpressNSTM mobile application.
The upgrades are scheduled to take place over the next several weeks and drivers are encouraged to visit Driver Assistance if they have any questions. While the upgrades are underway, we ask that drivers use extra caution, observe all construction-related signs, and adhere to instructions from construction and ramp personnel. Please plan accordingly.
ExpressNSTM Mobile Application for Drive
Drivers with Android phones or iPhones can download the ExpressNSTM mobile application from the App Store or Google Play Store. Search for ExpressNS. Once the application is downloaded, first-time users must click the link to register for access using your assigned Norfolk Southern driver code.
