On Wednesday, November 18th, 2020, a new automated gate system will be implemented at our Chicago 47th Intermodal Terminal. This technology upgrade will increase driver throughput at the terminal. Portal images for ingating and outgating shipments will be available to shippers via AccessNS in the near future. We will have additional personnel on hand to minimize delays, but drivers could incur slight delays while we implement this new system.
We encourage drivers to take advantage of our ExpressNSTM Mobile Application which streamlines gate and terminal processes for our drayage community. With ExpressNSTM, drivers can verify billing, submit pre-gate information, obtain parking and pickup locations, receive electronic interchange receipts, and submit bad order information.
