Norfolk Southern markets two classifications of rail-to-truck lumber transload facilities: Thoroughbred Lumber Transloads (TLTs) and Independent lumber transloads.

Thoroughbred Lumber Transloads are owned by either Norfolk Southern or independent owners and are operated by independent contractors who are experts in lumber transloading and distribution. All Thoroughbred Lumber Transloads are strategically located near major consuming markets and feature on site supervision and top-quality equipment and facilities. Safe, secure and well-equipped.

We offer premium lumber transload facilities in strategic locations. These facilities are managed by the best, most experienced operators in the business. Our transloads provide accurate and confidential reporting, efficient truck pickup and delivery and competitive pricing TLT facilities have the following features:
